We all make mistakes - it's a part of life. If we didn't make mistakes then we wouldn't learn. However, if we make mistakes, we need to own those mistakes. We need to say, "Yes, I made a mistake".
We need to not let others make fun of us for making mistakes. They're not their mistakes and they can't fix them. Only we can.

Each child has unique gifts, qualities and personalities - I asked the students to think about their unique gifts why they are unique. One student raised their hand and said, "Personality" - I quizzed them on why they said that. "If everyone had the same personality, life would be very boring. Everything would always be the same"
We need to keep reminding our students that it doesn't matter what unique gift you have - whether it be big or small - it's how you use that unique gift that will make you an extremely unique individual.

It's been a while since we've posted something in here but we've just two new entries.
We asked the students 3 three things that could change the world:
What are you "not ok" with at school - things you think we could do better at?
What can you do to make things better?
What can we do to make things better?
Here's what they had to say...

One thing that I have noticed is that M9 is becoming a very inclusive class - there is lots of sharing, co-operating, healthy social interactions and it's wonderful to see. There are some students who are going out of there way to make sure that others are feeling included. This is the type of students we are trying to develop here at MBAS - keep encouraging your child(ren) to show the 'U' in 'KAURI' - Unity
Week 5
Being thankful is something we all take for granted sometimes so this week we looked at things that we are thankful for. Every student made a list of their top five 'things' that they are thankful for. We then collaborated our ideas and made a list of M9's top five 'things' we are thankful for.
Check out our top five in the image. There is a reason for each. You can also click here to view the video that accompanies this weeks thoughts.

Week 2
This week we were asked to look at two video clips and answer the question, "What is family to us?"
We brain stormed ideas on the whiteboard and here is what M9 had to say...
